ART EDUCATORS - YOU SHOULD BE
ON LINE
WITH OTHER ART TEACHERS
TO EXCHANGE IDEAS ABOUT OUR PROFESSION
***SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS***
ArtsEdNet Talk is an on-line
discussion group for all educators involved in teaching the arts, including
arts specialists, general
classroom teachers incorporating
the arts into their lessons, or teachers putting together interdisciplinary
curricula. This
discussion group is sponsored
by the Getty Education Institute for the Arts, an operating program of
the J. Paul Getty Trust.
When you are an ArtsEdNet Talk
participant, you can submit a question or comment to ArtsEdNet Talk and
potentially receive
responses from anyone and everyone
in the group. Such responses are sent to the entire group and spark discussions
among all
the participants in ArtsEdNet
Talk. Even when you have nothing to say, you always receive copies of all
messages sent to
ArtsEdNet Talk so you can continue
to enjoy listening. You can jump into the conversation whenever you choose.
If you want to see the sort of
discussions that go on on ArtsEdNet,
copies of all messages sent
to ArtsEdNet Talk are posted
on the ArtsEdNet Web site in
the Connections section,
(http://www.artsednet.getty.edu).
This is where messages are posted
for "anyone" to access.
This is not the address
to send messages to.
If you wish to contribute to
the ongoing discussions, the address is listed below.
On the Web site you can sort
the messages
by date, subject, author and
thread.
You can use the Web site version
of ArtsEdNet Talk
to catch up on the ArtsEdNet
Talk conversations
that happened previously or
to search
for special topics in which
you are interested.
Please note that ArtsEdNet Talk
is an unmoderated list. This means that no one reads or edits the e-mail
sent to the ArtsEdNet
Talk listserver in any way before
it is distributed to all ArtsEdNet Talk subscribers. ArtsEdNet Talk is
also a closed list. This
means that only those that are
properly subscribed to ArtsEdNet Talk can post messages.
