Paintings Picked Up (12/3):
Yesterday,
I picked up my three watercolors from the Cathedral of St Johns
Gallery. It was great that I was able to exhibit my New Orleans
paintings here in Albuquerque. Those three paintings were also featured
in the RAEA Newsletter (Retired Art Teachers). The editor thought they
might spur a little interest in art teachers attending NAEA in New
Orleans next March. I know that my beautiful bride and I will be there
- we love NOLA.

Kansas Watercolor Society (12/2):
Besides, this being the first time my work has been
accepted into the KWS National - it makes it extra special that the
juror was Thomas W. Schaller. I admire his work and especially his
exquisite taste. The exhibition takes place in Wichita, Kansas -
opening on November 21st and running until January 4, 2015. |

Website & Blog Are Finally Back (12/1):
Finally,
I have my website and Blog back in operation. My hosting company
switched my site over to a new server. Now I'm in the process of
putting my old files back up there. This will take some time - luckily
I'm a patient person. The first thing I want to post are the three
paintings I've decided to enter into WFWS, the Western Federation of
Watercolor Societies, it will be in Lubbock, Texas in 2015.
A Father's Love:
The
watercolor in the upper right is a portrait of one of my old students,
Nate, holding his daughter Viviana. Nate and his bride Maggie were both
students of mine, in Middle School, about 13 years ago. They proudly
post photos of their beautiful daughter on Facebook. They gave me
permission to paint from one of those photos. I finished the painting a
few weeks ago and then entered it into WFWS. The painting is 21 by 17 inches
- it is painted on 300 lb Arches Rough.
