Paintings To Chicago:
Today,
I mailed off two matted watercolors for the RAEA Auction at NAEA in
Chicago. The auction is the only way for the retired art educators
group to raise funds. I'll be in Chicago - but, I did not want to carry
the paintings on my flight. I was able to pack all the supplies for my
workshop into suitcases - Thanks to Southwest Airlines who allows two
checked bags.

Bone Player (2/26):
This
morning, I started on a new watercolor. This time it's a "Bone Player"
from the French Quarter in New Orleans. I'm trying a style that ,
hopefully, will look like he's playing jazz.

KU Basketball (2/3):
Tonight I sat at home watching KU beat K-State at home in
Lawrence. When the alumni get together at Fox and hound I enjoy
watching the game with other Kansas fans. We have a great team this
year even with the few setbacks they have had. We are all looking
forward to the balance of the season and a shot at the final four. |

forward to sharing this very successful lesson with other art teachers
at NAEA in Chicago in March. I'm getting my materials together already.
I hope to fit everything into the two bags Southwest allows me to take
