August 24 - "Lady Hard Hats": I removed the tape and art gum protecting the whites - is "Lady Hard Hats" a better title than "Railyard Shadows" ??? |
August 22 - Railyard Shadows: Today, I started a rough drawing for a new railyard watercolor. This one is titled "Railyard Shadows". I love shadows. The size is about 2/3 of a sheet. Matted it should fit into a 28 x 22 inch frame. |

August 21 - Fire Station #9: Tonight at the City Arts Board - we gave the final approval of the sculpture to go up at Fire Station # 9. We saw the marquette of the "Phoenix" to be installed. The actual scupture will be 23 feet tall. It will be constructed from old "recycled" automobile hoods. |

August 14 - My Booth: My bride helped me set my booth up this morning at the convention center. I'm in booth "# B-7". Please stop by and visit for a while. The ABQ Art Showcase opens Thursday night and continues through Monday. Sunday and Monday are free days - so come on down. |

August 13 - Kansas Watercolor: Yesterday - just before the entry deadline - I entered four paintings into the Kansas Watercolor Society National. |
Car Loaded For Tomorrow: Hard to believe - but I got all my framed paintings, matted paintings and reproductions into my car. I did leave room for my bride and myself. I deliver everything to the convention center at 8:00 am tomorrow. I even made special receipts just in case something sells. I have a "Square" so I can take charges - but those receipts are in the buyers e-mail. |
August 12 - Homewise Mural: I just returned from another mural dedication - This one is on the newly remodeled Homewise building at 500 2nd Street SW. Albuquerque has the best public art in the country. Homewise choose the old Orpheum Theater for it's new headquarters. |

Last Week - Door to Door Politics: One afternoon afternoon - Ane Romero (on our ring door bell camera) She is campaigning for votes in her run for 4th district city council seat. The election is in November. Face to face - door to door is the best way to get elected. We first met our current governor this way years ago when she was running for county commissioner. After I posted on Facebook, She responded - "There is such a thing as the joy of doorknocking! I love this! Thank you, Woody Duncan, for sharing and posting. It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday." |
