October 31 - BOO: This is a fun time of the year - we are expecting lots of young monsters to come to our door - and we are ready for them. |
October 29 - A Painting Finished: This morning, I finished my newest watercolor - "Spanish Dancer". My subject comes from I trip to San Diego for Western Fed. It happened to be "Cinco de Mayo" which is a great time to be in San Diego. |
October 25 - History: How much do you know about the development of the Atom Bomb in New Mexico? Check out "109 East Palace Ave" in Santa Fe - that was the gateway where Dorothy "from Kansas" greeted all the scientists on their way to Los Alamos. |
October 24 - Progress on "Spanish Dancer": I made a bit of progress on my newest watercolor "Spsnish Dancer". I first coated the paper with a layer of "Gesso Juice" - then I used a credit card to scrape in the texture. Then I drew my image and blocked out some with Drawing Gum to protect the whites. I also added salt to the wet colors to increase the texture. |
October 22 - Chinese Dinner & Roses: My wonderful bride feeds me so well - so, shee deserves flowers every day. |
October 17 - Our Mountain: Playing with my camera yesterday as the clouds engulfed our mountain |
October 16 - Sad News: I remember, before all these playoff games, back when the top teams in the National and American League played each in the World Series. Now with all these play off games - Strange things happen. |
October 13 - Fall Colors: It's the season for fall colors - our tree is always the first to turn - which means we will have lots of leaves to clean up soon. |
October 9 - Balloons from our back yard this morning: |
October 4 - Behind Our House: Before I left for the museum, this morning, I got a few shots of balloons behind our house. |
October 3 - Balloon Museum: No Balloons aloft today - but, I got a great view from the Balloon Museum. |
October 2 - Over Our House: This mornings balloons - Blossom went outside with me and didn't even bark - it's great when the balloons float over our backyard. |
October 1 - Balloons Are Back: Photo from my back yard, this morning, as I left for the watercolor meeting. Joy Brinkley-Hill did a fantastic demo about how she paints glass - step-by-step - Thank You Joy - We learned a lot today. |
