December 26:
I finished my
"1921 RARE" and decided to leave the loose rough effect - I thought
that was in keeping with the subject. I used both pebeo drawing gum and
Kosher salt it creating the effects I was looking for.

This morning, at Friday Painters, I made good progress on my watercolor of "Jelly Fish".

December 21:
Before yesterdays
Art Board meeting - I stopped by our cities convention center to visit
with fresco artist Frederico Vigil and his assistant Cristian. I wanted
to see the newest progress on the fresco. Fresco is a watercolor but
it's applied to damp plaster walls so the color absorbs into the
surface. Albuquerque is fortunate to have Frederico Vigil with us to
keep the process alive.

December 19:
My beautiful bride
has lots of talent - she sews while I'm driving or when we are on a
cruise. It also nelps me beause I don't have to talk to her when I'm
driving.

December 16:
Wonderful Saturday
- I watched KU beat Indiana 75 - 71 coming back from 13 points behind.
Then I did drawings for 3 new watercolors. now, I have to start
painting them.

At Friday Painters, I made progress on my watercolor "Lemon Yellow Car". I took my source photo in Italy on our last cruise.

Good News - I just
found out that my watercolor "Shoes on Line" was accepted for WFWS in
Arizona. (I'm already a signature member) So, I had to correct my
entries for MasterWorks - I can't enter a painting into two shows at
the same time. Here are my corrected entries for MasterWorks of New
Mexico.

If you are going to
drive that far South - then you need to feast of fantastic Mexican
food. We drove to Old Mesilla for dinner -
of course I ordered Chile Relleno's.

December 4:
We had a good
visit with my mom's cousin Woody Duncan and his lovely wife Fran . My
mom hasn't seen them for at least 40 years. He painted these
watercolors I Loved visiting with them , they are such a sweet couple.
Hopefully we will do it again sometime.
