Finished: Here are the steps I went through for my "Purple Orchids" this morning - I used quite a bit of liquid mask creating this one. I took my photo reference in Golden Gate Park in 2013. |
Progress: I'm making decent progress on two new watercolors today. |
Butterfly: Thank You to Anne Cox and especially her husband Jim for fixing our butterfly so it can flap it's wings again. |
My Bride Likes This One: This morning I finished my new watercolor "Butterfly-Golden Gate Park" - I used lots of "pebeo drawing gum" (Mask) at the start - then at the end I used a bit of Cobalt Blue to separate the flowers. |
Step by Step: Here are the steps in my "Butchart Begonias" - after lots of scrubbing of the colors - it's finished but I'm sure I still make corrections. |
My Bride's Work: My beautiful bride finished her cross stitch - soon, we will take it to be stretched. This has been a long project - it is 29 inches by 82 inches (almost 7 feet long) |
Accepted: All three off by watercolors were accepted into the (On Line) exhibition in Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
More Flowers: I made a few corrections on my last two flower paintings - Now, I starting on a new watercolor "Butchart Begonias" I plan to have more contrast in this one. |
Finished: I finished my "Orange Begonias" today - I could use suggestions on improving it. I used liquid mast for the edges - but, in the end I covered up the white lines it created. |
More Flowers: I got a decent start on my "Orange Begonias" today - I shot my reference photo in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco in 2013. |
Finished: I finished my watercolor "Golden Gate Beauties " this morning - I started using liquid mast to protect the whites - in the end I used a bit of white for the specks on the flowers. |
First Flower Painting: I got a start this morning on one of my new flower paintings "Golden Gate Beauties" |
Searching For Subjects: My bride said that I was better at painting flowers - So, I started three more this morning - time will tell how they turn out. I searched my computer for material. I took these photos back in 2013. |
September 1: This morning I entered 3 watercolors into an on-line exhibition in Colorado Springs ... |
Sixty-One Years: Last month we had a special day - My bride (Frani) and I celebrated 61 years of marriage. |
