Balloons landing behind our house this cold morning

Painting Again:
I got back to
painting today - I finally finished my "Chinese Garden Lady" - then I
completed my "KC Snow" painting. Now I've gotten a good start on my
"Flute Santa Fe".

ABQ Art Board:
Last nights Art
Board meeting was about some exciting additions for the art at the
Albuquerque Sunport. Future travelers departing or arriving in
Albuquerque will be exposed to New Mexico's history and culture.
Proposed enhancements include "Lowrider Aircraft" hanging from the
ceiling and new murals on several walls above their heads. Visitors to
New Mexico should be impressed and remember their visit to the land of
enchantment.

My Brides Work:
Yesterday, we
picked up three new cross stitch's made by my bride that were
being stretched - now I need to get frames made for them.

Watercolor Society:
One of the best
reasons to belong to the New Mexico Watercolor Society are the demos at
the monthly meetings. Yesterdays, demo at the NMWS was by Carol
Carpenter - a members favorite.

Weems:
We had our watercolor opening at Weems Gallery tonight. I want to thank all my friends who came out to see our exhibition.

Breakfast:
Wonderful
Breakfast Burrito this morning - I made the green sauce to go over the
breakfast burritos my bride made. Life is great with good food.

After Christmas:
The Christmas
trees and decorations are down and stored away - our home is almost
back to normal now. As we travel we tend to add to our stuff. In
the entry, where the 9 foot Christmas tree stood, we have a carved
dragon from Komodo Island in Indonesia. In the living room a large
ceramic dog wears a hat with dreadlocks from Jamaica - the dog also
wears beads from New Orleans. High above the dog are masks we collected
from Mexico, Alaska and American Samoa. We picked up the silk screen of
tropical fish in Penang, Malaysia. Our high shelf contains mostly
Native American ceramic pottery, story tellers and kachinas from Mew
Mexico artists. We love our stuff and hope to add more as we travel.

Weem's Gallery:
The NMWS
Signature members are having an exhibition an at the Weem's Gallery in
January. The Opening is on January 10th, from 5 to 7 pm - I encourage
everyone to attend our opening - the exhibition runs till February 1st.
